Hydrant Clearing

It's technically the water departments job to keep the fire hydrants clear of obstructions for us but since they don't use them they don't care. We spent several days driving from hydrant to hydrant clearing the brush.

This was one of the more obstructed ones. This plant is called Cat's Claw and it is super thorny.

At first we tried the wildland hand tools.

Then we got out the chain saw.

That's looking better.

Now it's a usable hydrant.
