We had a station visit from the local day care center. We had about 18 kids with most of their parents come out to see us. We first gave them a tour of the station and then had Grant get dresses in turnouts and SCBA. All the moms in the room perked up when we said that Grant was going to get undressed (we meant from his turnouts). We then had a Q and A session before we went out to the engine. We let the kids see most of our tools and used the bumper line to lay down a thick layer of foam on the street. The kids loved it. We finished by letting them climb through the engine.
