Firefighter Thompson suffered an apparent heart attack and died at approximately 0715 hrs Thursday, June 18, 2009, while on his way to work. Firefighter Thompson had responded to an emergency call the previous evening.
He was a great guy, one of a kind firefighter. Knew everything, and was willing to share it. You can't replace guys like Bill. I just can't get over it, one of those things that I see every time I close my eyes. He was a true friend, I remember sitting in the ambulance with him a couple weeks before, listening to his stories from the old school days. Really going to miss him.
